About Us

Shapes of Mind is the website of the Inclusive Schools Network (ISN), one of six Centers of Excellence of the Inclusive Education Service.  ISN helps Quebec's English school boards to develop effective service frameworks for today's inclusive schools, offering information, professional development, and complementary classroom resources.

ISN’s focus is ‘students at academic risk’ (MEES ) in regular education classrooms

ISN emphasizes developmental (continuum-based) approaches to teaching/learning—those that promote high standards in today's diverse classes.  A key premise of ISN is that all students are members of the academic community, and benefit from rich learning experiences.
